Hi, I’m Madeline!
Who I am today and a bit on what I love…
I’m a Leo Sun, Moon, and Capricorn Rising. Born and raised in Long Island, New York, I’m a multifaceted practitioner, student of life, singer, medicine maker, teacher, yogi, and lover of the earth. I adore mountainscapes and creek dips, oceanic clearings, wildflowers, woodland creatures, and the sweet essence of summertime.
I walk with the medicine of my Southern Italian, Irish, English, & German ancestors. I live and love outside the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, where I tend to my vegetable and medicinal herb garden and serve clients from both my home (virtually) and locally as a staff herbalist at Apothecary Tinctura.

My Story
In the summer of 2018, after graduating from Florida State and moving to Denver, my health completely crashed. I went from being a vibrant twenty-two-year-old ready to enter the workforce as a teacher to a shell of myself seemingly overnight. In the weeks and months that followed, I experienced debilitating fatigue, chronic joint aches, nerve and muscle pain, brain fog, inexplicable food intolerances, GI upset, migraines, acne, reproductive cycle dysregulation, plus severe onset depression, anxiety, and depersonalization.
The severity of these symptoms required me to seek out health practitioners looking for any answer to the root of my ailments. Many tried to convince me that my body was attacking itself, which never felt my truth.
A diagnosis came later that fall: Chronic Lyme disease and Epstein-Barr Virus. I found myself utterly lost, sitting deeply in confusion. How does one navigate this?
After debating the plethora of overwhelming options, I realized the only glimmer of hope to follow was to listen to my truth, to allow my intuition to guide me, and to trust my body and her wisdom even when it was outwardly labeled as a traitor. With this intention in mind, the message I received was abundantly clear: Turn towards nature and natural healing modalities. The natural world and its bounty will hold you through this.
A few months later, I stumbled upon Medical Medium information for the first time - this is where my healing journey truly expanded. After trying countless treatments tapping into health fads, Functional, Eastern, and Western medicine with no avail, including IV and oral antibiotics, anti-inflammatory elimination diets, Bee Venom Therapy, and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, I turned to an antiviral healing protocol as what could only be called a last-ditch attempt, though now I would call it fate and intuitive guidance.
I was quite skeptical at first, questioning everything I had come to know about Autoimmune Conditions. After finally reading his first book, Medical Medium: Secrets Behind Chronic and Mystery Illness and How to Finally Heal, I realized Anthony William answered the lingering questions millions who are up against a chronic health condition ponder. He provided clear cut explanations to the “unexplainable” mystery chronic illness can be. He gave me hope that I too could heal from a disease that Allopathic medicine told me I would never recover from, as I was diagnosed a little “too late”.
After a year of integrating only a few tools from this advanced healing information, like daily celery juicing and removing key foods that were pathogen-feeding from my diet (like eggs, dairy, gluten, and soy products), I regained enough vitality to move to Spain to teach English in the fall of 2019.
Enter: the Covid-19 pandemic. While 2020 brought its challenges and heartache to communities worldwide, it also gave me the rare opportunity to go all in on my healing journey without the usual distractions of modern life—like social pressures, dining out, and unhealthy habits which, at the time looked like a dependency on cannabis and tobacco. I nourished myself from within by consuming a Whole Foods Plant-Based (WFPB) diet abundant in fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, wild foods, and herbs, brought in high-quality, tailored supplementation, prioritized rest and grounding practices like mindfulness meditation and taking dips in the Mediterranean healing waters, and most of all allowed myself to trust my body as my greatest teacher each step of the way.
With each passing day, I began to feel more like myself than I had in years! The pain dissipated, my energy levels increased, and I became equipped with tools to navigate flare-ups and acute illness from a place of empowerment over fear. Through becoming my own health detective and healing from 30+ chronic health symptoms, a seed was planted that inspired me to pursue wellness-based coaching and herbalism as my career path. As our modern world grapples with a continual rise in chronic health issues, I believe we must reconnect with our roots and seek healing from the earth.
For this reason, I enrolled at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City in 2020 and continued my education at Herbalism Roots in Denver, Colorado, in 2022. I learned to blend the nutritional and anatomical knowledge I had acquired with medicinal herbal wisdom and pathophysiology. Pathophysiology is the study of how plants affect disease in the body. WITHIN bloomed into being in May 2023
I advocate for using food and healing herbs as medicine to address the root cause of people's symptoms. I help clients achieve their highest expression of vitality through a blend of nutritional therapy, healing herbs, mindfulness practices, and lifestyle medicine.
Operating from the core belief that the body doesn’t attack itself, I work to bring balance, vitality and root-caused focused healing to my community. I am incredibly humbled and honored to be able to share the wisdom I have acquired by walking this healing path over the past 5 years with you to bring forth healing from WITHIN.
